What project we have for you

We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Engineer to lead a team in developing and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines, bridging on-premises and cloud environments, and delivering real-time analytics systems. This role requires deep expertise in data engineering and streaming technologies, combined with strong leadership skills to drive the team towards achieving business objectives. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, product, and software engineering to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions aligned with company goals.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership
• Make key decisions on solution design, architecture, and implementation strategies.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance.
• Design and oversee scalable, efficient data pipelines with a focus on stream processing.
• Develop and maintain data storage and processing solutions using Apache Kafka, Redis, and ClickHouse.
• Guide cloud-to-on-premises migration, optimizing costs while maintaining performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and robust data transfer mechanisms.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to improve the data ecosystem.

Required Skills

• 5+ years in data engineering with expertise in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Deep understanding of Apache Kafka for stream processing.
• Proficiency in databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, and Oracle.
• Familiarity with analytical databases.
• Experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises environments.
• Knowledge of tools like Flink, Redis, RabbitMQ, Superset, Cube.js, Minio, and Grafana (optional but beneficial).
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Experience ensuring system reliability, scalability, and data integrity.
• Familiarity with iGaming industry terminology is preferred.
